A mid 19th century Victorian coromandel wood veneered and brass edged jewellery box. The box is lined in purple velvet and has a button at the back edge which releases a sprung drawer in the base. The drawer is purple velvet and black leather lined and has a ring holder to the front. The edge of the drawer has the maker's name engraved on a brass plate: Howell, James & Co Regent St W.
