Collection of sixteen issues of Tafrit magazine, 1949-1951. The magazine contains illustrations, photographs and various publications.
Background: Tafrit "magazine for all," was published in Israel c. 1949-1952. The magazine presented an eclectic mix of stories, original and in translation, entertainment reviews alongside various caricatures and illustrations. The magazine was printed in a small format (height: 16.5 cm, width 12 cm) in one color. The binding, however, was printed in full color and included illustrations by various artists such as Fridel Stern and Shlomo Zavdi, who also dealt with the journal's graphic design. Included among the magazine's staff of writers and illustrators were Stern, Zavdi, Gershon Appel, Douche, Uri Avineri, Meidad Schiff, Avigdor HaMeiri, Perry Rosenfeld and others.
Condition: Fine-very fine except for two journals with detached bindings.
