Circa 1900, Chippendale style mahogany chest of drawers by Waring & Gillow of Liverpool. The chest has a solid mahogany top and a carved moulded edge, below the top is frieze of blind fretwork which is on the front and fore edge. The canted corners have wonderful foliate carving running from the top right down to its base. The chest has a configuration of 2 over 3 graduating drawers, each with cockbeadings, flame mahogany and wonderfully carved wooden knobs. The drawers inside are made of mahogany. Below the drawers is a wonderful carved frieze which runs around the front and sides of the chest. The chest finishes on 4 stylish carved ball and claw feet. Exhibition quality.
