This is a monumental two-tier pond fountain sculpted in bronze in the Baroque style.
This formidable fountain sprays water out of the top through a standing cherub into thetop tier and out through four Pegasus winged horses into the second tier and out through six lion's head water cartouches. It is heavily decorated with grape wine and shells.
It is raised by a column with four classically dressed maidens each holding a musical instrument and offerings of fruitand flowers.
This fountain is cast from solid bronze and was made by the traditional lost wax "cire perdue" method.
Add an elegant element to your garden with this lovely fountain, which can be used as a stand-alone fountain or as a centrepiece to a pond.

Lost Wax Method
sometimes called by the French name of cire perdue or the Latin, cera perduta is the process by which a bronze or brass is cast from an artists sculpture.
In industrial uses, the modern process is called investment casting. An ancient practice, the process today varies from foundry to foundry, but the steps which are usually used in casting small bronze sculptures in a modern bronze foundry are generally quite standardised.
