antique pair georgian sterling silver wine coasters dated 1824 19th c

This is a very attractive pair of antique early Victorian sterling silver wine bottle coasters, they bear the makers mark of the renowned silversmith John Henry & Charles Lias, London and date from 1824.

They feature attractive gadrooning with floral decoration.. Fourth mark in partnership with John and charles Lias, 7 August 1823. Fifth mark, 3 March 1828. Sixth, 24 September 1830. Seventh, 26 August 1833.Eighth mark with John Lias only, 19 May 1837. Ninth, 28 November 1839. Tenth (two sizes), 13 February 1843. Eleventh, 30 July 1845. A final note to the entry dated 8 May 1848 reads, 'trading under the name of John Lias & Son'. Henry Lias elected to Livery, 1833.
