This is a delightful antique pair of French ormolu classical dancingmaidens, circa 1820 in date.
They are raised on cylindrical socles with square plinth bases. The wonderfully chased and detailed maidens are each dressed in flowing classical attire with a clasp fastening on the right shoulder.
They have fine captivating facial expressions and detailed hair gathered in a laurel crown.
There is no mistaking their unique quality and design, which is sure to be cherished by any admirer of French ormolu.

The item was then exposed to extreme heat until the mercury burned off and the gold remained, adhered to the metal object.
