The refectory table with drawer leaf top and boldly gadrooned frieze is raised on massive cup and cover legs carved with leaves and terminating in blocks joined by stretchers. The original set of matching chairs, including a pair of carvers, have decorative scroll arms, cup and cover supports and are upholstered in ox blood leather.
There is no mistaking the fine craftsmanship of this handsome dining suite which is certain to become a treasured addition to your furniture collection, and a talking point with guests at meal times.
Condition:
In excellent condition. Asantique items, the pieces show minor signs of use commensurate with age, these minor condition issues are mentioned for accuracy and, as seen in the accompanying photographs, the dining suite displays beautifully.
