Circa 1830, exhibition quality George IV mahogany freestanding, narrow, tall open bookcase. The rectangular, solid top with flat fore-edge, and small brass central letter ‘A’ (indicating it was originally from a suite of bookcases). Unusually, the adjustable shelves are in polished flame mahogany with simple beaded fore-edge, flanked by flat facings. The base with further mouldings, on an enclosed deep plinth with slight cut out to the back (to accommodate a skirting board).
The shelves are 15 cm deep.
