antique french silver & ebonised watch opera cane walking stick 19th c

This is a beautiful and distinctive antique French Gentlemans ebonised opera cane walking stick with the exquisite silver watch fashioned into the handle, dating from Circa 1880.

The watch having a decorative silvered dial and cylinder escapement. The hinged circular glass lid opens to reveal elegant Roman numerals and splendid chased floral decoration against a textured silver background.
The watch handle is directly mounted onto a very fine ebonised tempering shaft with its original brass ferrule.It is a lovely item and as such would be appreciated by any collector of walking sticks or canes.Complete with original key.
