An interesting Late 19th Century Antique English Victorian Blue and White Transfer "Alhambra" Pattern Pottery Vegetable Tureen Base printed in a medium blue with an image that could well have been inspired by a picture of Warwick Castle rather than The Alhambra at Granada. No Maker's Mark, but the reverse with printed pattern name, "ALHAMBRA", this within an octagonal rectangular cartouche. Clearly this would appear not to be the pattern of the same name produced by John Thomson and Sons of Glasgow and recorded in Coysh & Henrywood's "Dictionary of Blue and White Printed Pottery".
