    A scarce example of an Early 19th Century Antique English Georgian Blue and White Transfer Pottery Dish, decorated in a dark blue palette with the "Classical Ruins" Pattern, unmarked but attributable to Thomas Lakin of Stoke { 1812 - 1817 }, the reverse with a fine set of stilt marks and the impressed numeral 10. Williams, { Antique Blue and White Spode }, suggests that the pyramid illustrated in the picture is probably the Caius Cestius monument built in Rome circa 30 B.C.
