An Admirals Sword, Naval Pattern 1827. Having a straight Claymore blade with two slim central fullers, retaining traces of the original etching and the makers name ‘Fraser & Davis High Street Portsmouth’. The sword has a regulation brass hilt depicting a fouled anchor in the cartouche, a lions head back-strap and wire bound fish skin grip, contained in its flag officer’s pattern of 1832 scabbard. A rare and interesting sword.
