Circa 1775 (and later), George III Adams style satinwood, rosewood and kingwood inlaid demi lune side table. The table has kingwood banded top, and inside this is satinwood and rosewood banding. The table is profusely inlaid with wonderful foliate designs, parrots, branches, leaves and berries. Beneath the green coloured tropical hardwood fore edge is a gilded apron which has reeding and carved flower heads all around. In the centre is a gesso loop of foliate carving finishing in swags either side giving the centre a focal point. The table stands on four legs with tapering tulip style acanthus leaves and ring turnings at the top over an elegant turned and fluted leg finishing on turned feet. Good size and excellent condition.
