A wonderful, basket weave, silver plated, Victorian mustard pot, with original blue glass liner.
It measures 3.25ins(8.5cms) from side to side and is 2ins(5cms) tall, to the top of the lid. It has a slightly waisted body, formed of woven strips of thin metal, with a nicely tooled border at top and bottom.
The hinged lid is hand chased with floral designs and has a Fleur-de-Lys thumb grip leading to a simple looped handle that has the same design as the borders.
It has a hollow base and the blue glass liner sits comfortably in it.
It has no maker's marks and is in its original shape with no damage or repairs and the liner is also in good condition with no chips or cracks and only minimal scratches.
A charming and elegant piece that would look good on any table or collection!
