A SUPERB 1956 PARIS EXHIBITED FRENCH IMPRESSIONIST LANDSCAPE OIL PAINTING
DESCRIPTION:
A stunning original mid 20th Century French Oil on canvas landscape painting which was Exhibited in Paris during 1957.
The magnificent work depicts a very tranquil French countryside, executed in the impressionist manner, and painted in 1956.
The work is mounted in the original splendid quality gilt frame which suits the painting beautifully.
Initialled/Monogrammed by the artist to the lower left corner and dated 1956.
The rear of the stretcher is both stamped and labelled with details of the Paris Salon where it was once exhibited, stating:- 1957ÿ Societe Artistes - Paris Salon
It is a highly impressive painting and the attention to detail is truly magnificent, with a remarkable portrayal of the French buildings, the trees and the mountains in the background.
It is indeed no wonder this work was exhibited.
The painting would benefit from further research, as we believe the name of the artist would be easily sought.
