MANSERGH & SONS, CABINETMAKER, LANCASTER (c.1880-1920)
This is a good quality Victorian dressing table in ash, circa 1890 and has the original makers label and stamp Mansergh & Sons, cabinetmakers, Lancaster.
This dressing table is in remarkably good condition for its age, a few very minor marks including a dark blot approx one penny piece in size on the top surface.
This is a very well made item of furniture sitting on small brass castors with a removable rotating bevelled mirror on top, dovetail joints to the front and back of each drawer, the original backboards and a rich golden ash colour throughout.
Unfortunately the locking key has been lost over the years but a replacement should be easy to find if required.
