This fully hallmarked 9ct Gold propelling pencil is dated for 1947. The clear hallmarks indicate that it was assayed in Birmingham of this same year. There are makers marks stamped on the pencil which indicate the item was made by C&C. No formal identification of this maker can be found. The pencil is fully working and the top twist's to reveal the lead inside the pencil. There is some fine engine turned engraving through the majority of the body, with two plain areas. There is an inscription at the top of the pencil N F which appears to be in "fancy" script. The pocket retainer clasp is in good order and appears to be strong. This item does come with a box although clearly this is not original.
