An 18th century early George III sterling silver tankard. The tankard has a wonderful 'S' shaped handle with a concave heart shaped terminal and the baluster shaped body has later Victorian embossing and a vacant oval cartouche to the front. The underside has hall marks for London, the year 1764 and the sterling silver lion mark but no maker's mark. The tankard is in good condition with a small dent to the handle.
