An Early 20th Century Black Leather Documents Box with a central recessed handle. The box opens on a full width piano hinge revealing a writing slope inside the lid, with storage for up to A4 size documents below. There is further storage space in the deep end and a removable caddy contains a pen tray and a matching pair of ink bottles with green enamel & gilt tops. The lock functions well.
