WICKWAR MANUFACTURER, POLAND STREET LONDON
A Victorian Red Leather Investiture Box, the chamfered top embossed with the British Royal Coat of Arms and gilded decoration, the interior retains its original red velvet lining. The lock is in good working order.
Investiture boxes would have originally contained the wax seal in of a person awarded a knighthood or some other honour from H.M.Queen Victoria.
Condition: Unusually fine with a few rubbed areas and a little discolouration.
