victorian oak book stand/music stand

Circa 1870, oak and brass book stand/music stand. The top section is in solid oak with a small retainer and 2 brass arms. At the back is a brass arm with a butterfly nut for adjusting the angle of the book holder. This is held on a brass rod which goes into a brass bezel and is now fixed at a certain height (has lost its telescopic capacity). The piece stands on a wonderful turned and tapering column with ring supports at the top, centre on base. The piece finishes on a carved tripod base terminating in a scroll cabriole foot. Excellent colour.

Size 115cm high x 45cm wide x 40cm deep across base – 36cm wide.Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
