kidney shaped burr elm desk/side table

Circa 1930, wonderful kidney shaped burr elm desk/side table. The shaped top has matching veneers and satinwood, ebony and boxwood crossbanding. There is a three quarter wrap around gallery, and below this is one simple concave drawer with a cast brass handle in the form of a wreath. The top of the legs have cast brass mouldings in the form of flowers. The frieze is inlaid and curved all around. The table stands on 4 elegant turned mahogany legs, finishing on brass cups and original castors. Very stylish.
