Highly original Partner's Desk c1880 of exceptional quality with original castors, brass handles and locks. The drawers are stamped with the cabinet makers mark (S Robertson, Maker, Vauxhall, London) and the Bramah locks are each identically stamped and have working keys. This desk is very well proportioned having a traditional nine drawer front elevation and twin cupboards to the rear each with removable and adjustable shelves. It is made from dense pitch pine giving it a wonderful mellow colouring and comes fully restored to showroom condition with a black blind embossed leather writing surface. Please do not confuse this desk with those of "antique pine" - this is a much higher quality desk of significant rarity.
