Having benefited from benign neglect for most of its existence, this delightful Art Nouveau miniature reference library, published & retailed by JC Vickery, 179, 181 & 183 Regent Street, London W. is in remarkably good condition. The books themselves have scarcely been opened, and the pages are clean. The cloth bound covers with buckram spines are faded in parts, and there is some staining. The seven volumes are titled:- (1)Dictionary, (2)Pocket Remembrancer,Proverbs & Maxims. (3)Poetical Quotations, (4) Dictionary of Mythology. Ready Reckoner, (5)German & English Dictionary, (6)French & English Dictionary, (7) Atlas & Gazetteer. The dictionary has been a little more used than the other volumes. The pages of all volumes are gilt edged. The rack is of solid mahogany with dovetailed joints.
