The elegant pagoda topped case is in beautifully figured mahogany and has all the features you would expect in a fine London Clock. It stands on a double plinth and has a raised and moulded panel to the base. The slim straight sided trunk has a long moulded door with a break arch top. The hood has slim columns with brass inlaid stop flutes and brass Corinthian capitals. The very smart pagoda top has a pair of brass ball finials and a fretwork panel to the centre.
The good quality movement has five knopped pillars and a fine quality brass dial. The dial has a silvered chapter ring, mask and foliate spandrels, a subsidiary seconds dial, working date aperture and the all important strike/silent selector.
The case is in beautiful, fully restored, condition and is a lovely colour. The movement is in good working order with all functions working as they should. It is complete with original pendulum, brass cased weights, bell and a winding key.
These good quality London clocks retail for £10000-12,000 so this one is particularly competitively priced.

Superb Early 18th Cent London Longcase Clock
Here we have a wonderful mahogany longcase clock by the London maker Ben Baddy of Clapham, London.
