A rare Pre 2nd World War Black Leather Despatch Box with brass swing handle on one side. the bevelled top gilt stamped with the insignia of King George VI and 'Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries, numbered 49. The black interior has raised sides and stabilising studs.
The 4 lever lock stamped CHUBB 68 St James St. London. Maker to King George V, retains its original key
